Data sources
Where our listings come from and how we clean them.
Business listings on CO Business List are built from the Places dataset published by the Overture Maps Foundation (release 2026-09-23.1), used under the Community Data License Agreement Permissive 2.0 (CDLA-Permissive-2.0). The Overture Places dataset includes contributions from Overture members and partners such as Meta, Microsoft and Foursquare.

How we process it
- We keep only records located in Colorado.
- We remove records marked permanently closed and records below a confidence threshold.
- We remove places that are not businesses, like parks, trails, lakes, monuments and government facilities.
- We merge duplicate records by name, address and phone.
- We group detailed categories into directory categories people search for.
What we don't publish
We do not publish email addresses from source data. Contact details shown are business phone numbers, websites and addresses.
Corrections
Data can be out of date. Owners can claim or fix a listing or request removal at any time.
